The death occurred at WelKiigton^oa. Thursday of Charles ""Bclwin' "Bblton, aged 74,- an old employee'-of tfie Union, Company. For over 30 years he served as butcher on most of the-.company's passenger vessels, his last ship being tha Maori. He retired four -years-ago. Prior to joining the- Union Company, he was in private business ui'Dnnedin. Mr. Antonio Bognuda, a 'well-knb-wTi citizen of AVellin'gton,/died last evening. He retired, from; active business'about twelve months agoj after a long connection with' P. Hutson and Co.,'iitdi of which ho was latterly general'manager. Mr: Bognuda was closely; conciated all his life with sporting; Bodies, and was a life member' of the AtMetio Football Club, a life member of "the. Wellington Working- Men's" Club', and. a former vice-president of'the'Wellington Bowing Association, "fie leaves-a widow and four daughters and five; sons. The funeral will take place to-rtforrow.
