THEFT OF BICYCLES
MAN SENT TO GAOL-
■V plea of guilty to. each, of throe charges of stealing bicycles o£ a total value of £19 was entered by Harold William Leo, labourer, aged 3S, in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr. X Page, S M Lee was sentenced to three months' imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to be: concurrent. -~',, , Detective-Sergeant'Holmes-said that tlie accused was before the;Cotu;t on the 19th October, and was .^remanded for sentence so that further inquiries could be made. The accused was a single man, and' except for a few days' casual work had been unemployed for some months.- His custom was to 'take bicycles off the streets and sell them to second-hand dealers.
