It was reported ..that the^ Education Board, under its retrenchm'eni 'policy, -lyould not subsidise any expenditure for cricket, matting, netting, etc, and it was depided that the association bear the whole'cost. The treasurer reported that the parents' day effort realised £S 15s, of, which £3 3s was donated to Miss E. Conway for the school's junior Eed Cross branch. The last danco had produced about £7. A hearty vote of thanks v.-ns accorded Mr. T. E: X.'Burgess" for the donation of! a .cricket bat for. the best all-round sports j boy, also'to Mr. H. o'. Pittindrigh for a tennis racquet for the best all-round sports girl. It was resolved to entertain the parents of the scholars of Standards V. and VI. at a social- evening at the close of the present, term, when the proficiency and'competency certificates, also trophies; would be presented.
