ESPERANTO CLUB.
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club took place last night in the V.M.C.A., Mr. E." C. Jack presiding. The president alluded to the success of the recent Esperanto Congress held in Oxford, where over 1200 people from 30 different nationalities had met ■without experiencing the language difficulties encountered at ordinary international congresses, where several languages are officially employed. Conversation and instruction classes were formed, after which an enjoyable programme was presented. An original Esperanto comedy, entitled "La Paeiento vizitas la Dentiston," was presented by Miss Corulie Sinythson, Mr. Vcrnon Leek,- and Mr. Bertram Potts, tho club, secretary. At the conclusion Mr. Leek narrated in Esperanto scvor.-U interesting experiences which had befallen him while on'the" Continent recently. The title of his address was "De Parizo al Vieno," and showed the advantages of possessing a knowledge of Esperanto while in foreign lands. The club secretary presented an amusing on original Esperanto monologue entitled "La Dauea Vespero."
