AUCKLAND, 6th October,
* 'A return professional wrestling contest in the Town Hall to-night "between George Walker, heavyweight champion o£ the British Empire, and Tom Lurieh, heavyweight, champion of Russia, ended suddenly in the final round, when Lurich toppled • over the ropes and oft' the platform, oh to the floor of the stalls. He was knocked' out and was unable to continue, Walker being declared the winner. .' Up to'then each had secured a submission fall—Walker in the fourth with a reverse toehold and Lurich in the seventh with a double arm scissors. It was a particularly strenuous contest, the men several times going through the ropes. • '
