THEFTS BY BANK TELLER

CHRISTCHTJBCH, This Day,
Before the Magistrate, Mr. Mosley, Frederick George Findlay M'Kay (36), a former teller in the Bank of New South Wales at Greymouth, pleaded guilty to charges of theft of £314, the property of the bank, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
In a statement made to the police the accused said ho got into "debt mainly through gambling on horses, nnd he took money to meet dobts contracted at Greymouth. Bail was allowed,
