GENEVA,
29th September
That slavery still exists was made manifest at the League Committeo discussion, when a British memorandum asking for the establishment of a Permanent Slavery Commission, was rejected.
Mr. C. K. Buxton, member ,of the British House of Commons, said that Britain for a century had been endeavouring to limit or abolish . the s slave trade, yet the liorriblo scourge went on.
