W. PETT RIDGPJ, NOVELIST

LONDON, 29th September. Tho death has occurred of Mr. W. Pett Ridge, novelist.
William Pott ißiclge, the novelist, was born near.Canterbury, educated at Marden, Kent,. and tho Birkbeck Instituti tion, and lived in the country until 18S0. Ten years later ho began to write and was the author of aboui forty novels, for by 1905 he was publishing at least one book a year. In 1909 he married Miss Olga Hentsehel, and is survived by ono son and a daughter.
