FIND OF AMBERGRIS

A find of ambergris was made on Saturday by an Austrian gurndigger, Spiro Tolijanieieh. The spot was on the West Coast beach near Dargaville, and the piece weighs 321b.' While away for a sack to put it iii the finder almost lost his -prize,'for on his return it had disappeared, and he had to swim into the breakers to recover it. It is estimated to be worth about £SOO.
