The Queen always thinks out her colour scheme's in clothes with the utmost care, writes a Londoner. At a recent function with her multicoloured brocade ■ coat and swathed toque of ruby, emerald, and gold tissue, she wor. a magnificent string of pearls and an immense star-shaped ornament at her throat. The centre of the star was a eabochon ruby, which was surrounded by six points, each a largo diamond, from one of which hung a eabochon emerald.. Her earrings were emeralds, surrounded by diamonds, and in her toque was an- emerald and diamond brooch.
