MAGISTRATE'S COURT

To-day's sitting of the Magistrate's Court was presided over by Mr. T. B. M'Neil, S.M.

•George Lucas, alias O'Shea, aged 4S, was ordered to pay the medical expenses, £2, and take out a prohibition order on a charge o£ being found in a state of helpless drunkenness. Lucas, has had several previous convictions for similar offences'. On a charge of stowing away on the Omana at Newcastle, Vernon John Cunningham, a labourer, aged 22, was ordered to pay the fare, £1 lOs, jn default, one month's imprisonment.
