ECONOMIC HARDSHIP

AUSTRALIA WILL GO BACK

ME. SCULLIN SANGUINE

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Coprrifilit. (Received 18lh September, 10 a.m.) NAPLES, 17th September. "Australia will soon go back to the flourishing position she used to be in," said the Prime Minister, Mr. Scullin, in an interview aboard the Orama. "I am convinced that the phase of economic hardship through which the country is going is only temporary. Australia's position is the result of decreased exports, which in turn are the outcome of a worldwide crisis in industry. I would have preferred to have remained in Australia, for I am very desirous of finding solutions for important problems awaiting me there."
