SLOAN MORPETH BEATEN
MELBOURNE, 17th September.
In the semi-finals of the Australian amateur anc professional golf championships to-day, in the amateur class Eussell defeated Edgar; 9 and 7, and Hattersley beat Sloan Morpeth at the thirty-eighth hole. In tho professional class Stewart beat Naismith, 10 and 8, and Eobertson beat Fowler, 10 and 8. The finals in both sections will be played to-morrow.
