(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAMILTON, 17th September. A unique incident occurred during the sitting of Ilio Supreme Court at Hamilton to-day.

William Morton C'reighton, motor mechanic, of Hastings, formerly a farm?r of Otoroiianga, petitioned for a divorce from his wife, Mary Creighton, on the ground of desertion.

It was stated that the couple were married in 1906, and on tlie husband's return from the war he found his wife rather friendly with another man. His Tvife subsequently left him.

Petitioner had commenced his evidence when .the Court adjourned for lunch.

. Petitioner, who had not seen his "wife since 1925, invited her out to lunch, and it was subsequently announced that the cauple had become reconciled.

The action was withdrawn, and the couple left the Court together.
