TALLOW IN FAIR DEMAND.

The Bank of, New Zealand Produce Department has received the following advice from its London office under date 17th September: "Tallow: There is a fair demand. Current quotations: Good mutton, 29b to 29b 6d per cwt; beef, 27s 6d to 28s; mixed, 27s 6d; gut, 22s to 25s 6d." Messrß. Dalgety and Company report, London, 17th September:—"London tallow sales: Bight hundred and ten casks offered; 373 casks sold. Prices Gd per cwt lower. Pine mutton, 31s 6d per cwt; good mixed, 27s 6d per cwt; inferior, unchanged."

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company advises: —"Tallow: Nominal quotation; 30s 6d cwt fine mutton; ;SOs cwt (mod-beef; 37a cwt mixed. Market quiet."
