THE-NATIONAL SHOW
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAMILTON, 17th September. The eighth National Jersey Show and sale, held to-day, attracted a record attendance.
Four hundred-odd bulls were catalogued. The judging of eight classes was completed to-day, the senior championship oeing -won by Mr. J. A. Mitchell (Longburn), and the two-year-old championship by Mr. Cyril Dermer (Feilding). The- two-year-old classes were won. by Mrs. Annie Banks and Son (Feilding), Mr. William Boyd (Mataugi), Mr. Cyril Dermer, and Mrs. I. W. Spiers (Letjin). One hundred and ten bulls were submitted to-day, 71 averaging 43 guineas. Top prices were as foljow: Mr. Cyril Dev"mer's. Waipiko Loveboy, 270 guineas, to Mr. A. Crowther, ■'.Mataraata; the same ■breeder's Waipiko Caravel, 235 guineas, to Mr. J. Aitken, Puni; Mrs. M. S. Smith's (Hastings), Meadowvale Oxford Sultan, 170 guineas, to Mr. C. Stevens, Whangarei; Mr. J. A. Mitchell's Santa Rosa Golden Chimes, 135 guineas, to Mr. Harry Salt,jy, New■ Plymouth; War Bride Prince, .102 guineas, to Mr. A. Bothani, Te Aroha; Mr. J. Kobb's (Westmere), Gowhantea You'll Do, 100 guineas, to' Messrs. Peaaley and Bell, Otorohanga. •
Three judges are engaged, and will complete the yearling classes groups and the grand . championship to-morrow. There are 300 entries. ..
