LAW DRAFTING OFFICER

Tlie reruiiinent Head of the Government Law Drafting Department, Mr. .f. Christie, left on Monday for England, where it is understood he will link up with the New Zealand delegation to the Imperial Conference and render legal assistance in connection with their work. The main object of the visit, however, arises out of the contract entered into by the Government with Butterworth, Ltd., for the publication of an annotated edition of the New Zealand Statutes. Mr. Christie will confer in London with Butterworth's editorial staff.
