A "LIVELY" MATCH

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.

D. Sutherland, a member of the Thistle Football Club, was suspended for six months afjer an inquiry held by the Management Committee of the Canterbury Football Association last night into an incident that led to his being ordered off the field in the match against Western laat Saturday. Other incidents mentioned during the discussion were: A player kicking an opponent when the latter was on the ground; fighting between two players at half-time; and a player being struck across the face by a woman when lie was leaving English Park last Saturday. In these cases it was decided to write to the clubs concerned drawing attention to these matters. ■
