BUS SERVICES
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—''Ono point regai"ding- l>us services seems to have been missed (writes 'A Bus Rider foi' Preference'), and that is that the first or one section fare is 3d. If it were 2d, the same as the trams, many, more would use the bus, especially women, as they lilic the comfort and quick transit. Another thing they .would prefer is a concession ticket. It would save the time of drivers and passengers and I feel sure it would pay if .something like this were charged: 12 ride 1-section ticket, 3s 9d; 12-ride.2-section .ticket, :2s'9d;- 12-ride 3 or' 4-section ticket; 3s 6d." "Ejccta Membra" complains that the after-theatre buses, to Roseneath cannot carry half the passengers offering. It would not be hard to cope with the traffic. AH that is:needed.is to run the bus from the Oriental Bay tram terminus at frequent intervals between 10 and 11 o'clock. A time-table on this basis would carry all the traffic and no reasonable person would cavil at the fare."
