Professor Duplessis' action against the Synod of the Dutch Kefofmed Church by which he seeks to nullify his dismissal from the Theological Seminary of the Stellenbosch University has opened-before'three ■ Judges ■of tho Supreme Court. Counsel for the Synod hcld-th.it the Court could not override the--Church Court on the question of doctrine. The plaintiff's counsel argued that the plaintiff had not broken any church doctrine and the interpretation of all contracts rested with Civil Courts. .
