SOMERSET REPORTED.

The Somerset, en route from Liverpool, has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive at Auckland at 6 o'clock on Friday morning. She is duo here about 3rd September.

MAKURA'* DEPARTURE,

The R.M.S. Makura, which arrived yesterday with a large consignment of fruit from Rarotonga, in addiiton to her passengers and mails, is to sail at 6 o'clock this evening for Sydney.

TUTANEKAI'S MOVEMENTS,

The lighthouse steamer Tutanekai left at S o'clock this morning on a visit of inspection of the Cook Strait lights. She is expected to be away about ten .days. .

MAUNGANUI'S TRANSHIPMENTS,

The Maunganui, which arrived this morning from Sydney, included- in her cargo transhipments from the following vessels: —Mooltan, Karoola. Orungal, Kanowna, Mareeba, Koranui, Bendigo, Kowarra, Aki Maru, Xalping Boren, Orama, Odor, Querimba, Canberra, Triton, Sierra,, Port Said Maru.

MAUNGANUI FROM SYDNEY,

After an uneventful voyage from Sydney, during which'line weather was experienced, the intercolonial steamer Maunganul arrived in the stream at 4.40 this morning, and "berthed at about 8.45 a.m. at No. 1 north, Queen's Wharf, to discharge her passengers, mails, and cargo.
