UNEMPLOYED RELIEF
THE DUNEDIN ART UNION
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
DUNEDIN, This Day.
The unemployment art union, drawn on Saturday night, realised £881, which, with the students' Capping Day collection, provides about £1000. This sum, with the Government subsidy, will be immediately applied to the neediest cases. The art union cost under £40 to run, all the prize money being subscribed by citizens. The first prize, of £50, was won by somebody who merely recorded an address and who has not yet claimed the prize.
