INQUEST ON VICTIMS

LATE COMMODORE KING AND

PARTY

LONDON, 24th August,

At an inquest on Commodore King, Commander Searle, Surgeon-Captain Brailey, Captain Glazebrook, and two deck hands of the yacht Islander, a verdict was returned of accidental death.

The jory expressed the opinion that there was laxity in placing coastal watches that night. . A body east up on the beach at Lantavit Bay has been identified as that of Commodore King, member of Parliament and former Minister, who perished in the wreck of the yacht Islander, A body believed to be that of Commander Searle, one of Commodore King's companions, has been recovered near Looe.
