BURGLAR CAPTURED
A SUCCESSFUL CHASE

AUCKLAND, This Day.
When Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Bull, of 5, Mo.i street, Point Chevalier, returned to their resideuce at 9 o'clock on Saturday night, they found a Bcreen on tho back porch broken, also a holo in a kitchen window. The appearances wore that tho window had been broken with a bottle.
Hearing a noise inside, their suspicions were aroused. Mr. Bull waited outsido while Mrs. Bull went for the police. Someone was heard to got out of a window at the sido of the house, stiul Mr. Bull, who was joined by Mr. J. Cain, a neighbour, gave chase.
Mr. Bull lost his breath, but Mr. Cain continued (lie pursuit, and caught tho man, who was handed over to the police, and is to be charged with breaking and entering .md haviu£ hotiael>i'e,'ikiii£ tools in his possession.
