KARAKS BAY BUS

A largo and representative deputation of residents of Karaka Bay waited upon the Mayor (Mr. G. A. Troup) to-day to ask that tho decision 'of the council regarding tho curtailment of the Karaka Bay service should be reconsidered. It was pointed out by the speakers that there was no bus from the bay to town between 8.25 a.m. and 1.20 p.m. The morning bus was often very uncomfortably crowded, as many as sixty people being sometimes jammed in. It was remarked that it should be possible for tho Karaka Bay people to work in with tho Kilbirnio runs, and a suggested timc-tablo was left with Mr. Troup for consideration. Tho Mayor replied that tho proposals would receive the consideration of the Tramways Committee.
