THE HAZLETT CASE
♦_ TEMPORARY RELEASE ON BAIL (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, 22nd August. "When the case in which Cecil Hazlett, fanner, of North Tuierj, seeks a writ of habeas corpus', securing his release from the inebriates' homo on Buto-Itoa Island was called in the Supreme Court, Mr. Justice Smith said he was unable to give judgment then, jis had been expected when tho- hearing concluded on Monday, as lie had to proceed to Hamilton at "tho end of this week. It would be some time before judgment could be delivered. His Honour directed that the applicant should bo released on bail until Oth September.
