STAR BOATING CLUB
A successful season is recorded in the report of the Star Boating Club, to be presented at the annual meeting on Friday next. The dub lost the.Bedding Shield, but regained the Mothes Shield, which had been lost to Petone the previous season by a narrow margin of points. ' There has been very little alteration in regard to active membership. The club's total membership at present is 337, as follows: Life active, 62; life honorary, 69; active, 119; honorary, 46; country, 41. The statement of receipts and expenditure shows that despite tho small credit balance displayed at the end of the financial yeai1, the club's position is quite sound. The committee has reduced outstanding debentures by £75. Owing to the exceptionally fine weather experienced at week-ends, the club racing programme was most successful. Tho club was well represented at inter-club regattas, as a result of which it received £108 in donations, which is the fourth largest sum won by the club in any one season. The plant has been maintained in good condition. Two clinker pi'actice fours are to be delivered early in the season.
