* TONGAN CUTTER'S PLIGHT (Received H3rd August, 2 pan.) SUVA, This Day. The Tongan cutter Fugafaimata, 20 tons, laden with copra, left Nuiafoou for Vavau twelve days ago..Eight days calm and head winds drifted the vessel to the island of Matuku in the Fiji Group. Nine men of the crew were foodless and without water for three days and in an exhausted condition. With the aid of a Matuku pilot the vessel readied Suva last night. The evew are suffering from the effects of their hardship?.
