CONTACT WITH FOREIGN OFFICE.

A question in respect to continued direct contact between New Zealand and.,the Foreign Office was asked in the House of Representatives yesterday by the Leader of the Opposition. Mr. Coates asked whether the Government proposed to continue the arrangement whereby the Foreign Office had been represented in New Zealand by a liaison officer attached to the Prime Minister's office. The Prime Minister (the Hon. (5. W. Forbes) said that the matter of continuing the representation arrangement would be discussed at the next Imperial Conference.
