SAILORS FRIEND SOCIETY

Thursday's concert at the Sailor/ Friend Society was in every way a pronounced success, under the leadership of Miss V. Boseley, whose perforiwew canse in for many encores. The perfonoea were Mesdames D. O. Williams, Chaneler, and A. E. Colebrook, Misses J. Williams. A r. Boseley, and Christoplierson, Messrs. 11. Matthews, i*. Newman, R. M. Chandler. and' Master Colin Blair. Misses V. Boseley and J. Williams were at the piano. Light refreshments were handed round in an interval by hostess and helpers. The prizes for the competitions came from the Marine Institute, and went to the men in port. Mr. H. Matthews also donated books.
