AN ALTERED PROGRAMME Last season, the Matarnata Racing Club j tried as an experiment a meeting con<s»nd to hack events only. Evidently t.his yw not the success anticipated, as *-.i» season the elrfc has inserted two open 1 Events on their programme. A hack hurdle race has also found a place on the programme, to meet the wishes of leading sportsmen, who contend that the only way to. strengthen our very weak jumping class is for clubs to introduce more hurdle races.
