MY ADVENTURES
I am a little black- pony.: called Blackie, bccnuso of ..my-. colour.;:.-. I used to live with my mother-and sister, on a big, wide moor..- One-.-day some men -came- and took- mo away.to be broken in. > ■•;*" . I was next taken to a farm, to be the pony for a little ;boy and girl. Every day they would, bring me some tasty tit-bit. .- .-:■•, ' Ono day some gipsies came- to-the village. 'Early in the morning-they pot? into the stable where I was-'and took me away. They were cruel and would beat me if I would not do as they wanted. One night I bit through the* rope that held me,, and ran.-away. Luckily the gipsies did not heai.jne. I ran on and on. till I came : .to, a lovely green paddock. I ate -some grass and then lay down to sleep. Next morning when I woke up I found some children bonding over me. "Oh, what a lovely pony!" they cried,. "Hay we keep it?"
