A FAITHFUL HORSE
An.Englishman once had a faithful horse- called Bobs. One night, just before dusk, when ho was riding homo across the plain, he was captured by a band of robbers. Tying him "•tightly with strong ropes, they took, the man away pnd put his steed amongst their own horses. Night came on. Bobs stamped and bit at his rope. : Luckily it was an old one, so after many hours of struggle, ho got free. Trotting around the robbers' cave, Bflbs came across his master ;tt the entrance. In vain 1 lie animal tugged at the stout ropes that bound his owners Then he hoard footsteps. Instinct told the horse that not a moment must be lost. Seizing his master's coat, he set out at a fast trot across the plain, never stopping until ho reached their house, where the man's wife and children were anxiously looking for him.
