LAST YEAR'S RESULTS. Cable advice has been received from London to the effect that for the year ending 31st March, 1930, the net profit of the Vocation Gramophone Company, Limited, on a capital of £250,000, was £44,570. In their report to shareholders, the directors state that in view of the present state of the record industry, and the company's programme in developing film records, they do not feel-justified in recommending the declaration of a dividend. For the two preceding years 40 per cent, was paid. After providing for income tax, there will be £65,363 to be carried forward. During the last half year, and to date, the company has successfully regained its entire market as compared with : 1928-1920, the company's most success-. jiul year.
