BRITISH RUGBY TEAM
SYDNEY'S CIVIC RECEPTION
SYDNEY, 20th August.
The' British Rugby footballers were accorded a civic reception at Sydney to-day. The Lord Mayor aud Mr. R. Weaver, Minister of Mines, heartily welcomed them on behalf of tho city and Government.
Both were confident that 'the visit of the Englishmen would help to unite Australia still more closely to the "dear Old Land. They had noted with interest the great stir the games had caused in the' Dominion, and predicted that feeling would run just as high here.
Messrs. Baxter and Prentice made happy responses.
