Bettors received a shock to-day when Carradale was scratched from the Metropolitan owing to leg trouble. The New Zealand trainer Burgess will return to the Dominion next week with Atholspear, Spearmiss, Werata, Ben Hur, Lady Gen, and Austerity. ■
