DOMINION PREFERENCE.

Mr. W. Graham (President of the British Board of Trade) in a written reply to Captain Balfour (M.P. for Isle of lhanet), stated that it has been estimated that the average ad' valorem incidence of the preferential rebates granted by the Dominions on goods imported from this country are: Australia (1928-20), 13.8 per cent New Zealand (1925), 18.6 per cent. South Africa (1928), 4.3 per cent. Canada (1925), 10.7 per cent. The dates relate to the period covered by the most recent estimate in each case.
