LONDON, 19th August. Following are the. results of county cricket matches: —

Middlesex v. Northants.—-Middlesex, first innings, 234 (Price 63), second 269 for nine, declared (Durston, not out, 92). Northants, first 293 (Hawtin 79, Jupp 5), -84 for one wicket. Northants won on1 the first innings. .

Sussex v. Essex.—Sussex, 'first 232 (Langridge 82, Nichols five for. 41), second 160 (Smith four for 32).' Essex, first 252 (Cutmoro 82, Browne six for 77), second 141 for three. Essex won by seven wickets.

Lancashire v. Kent.—Lancashire, first 254 (E. Tyldesley 79, Freeman five for 95), second 14S (Freeman seven for 54). Kent, first 212 (Woolley 103, Macdonald five for 97), second S9 (Tyldesley six for 29). . Lancashire won by 10.1 runs. • : ■

Glamorgan v. Derby.—Glamorgan, first 260 (Turnbull 135)y second'- 213 (Mitchell-five, for 54). Iterby, first 237 -(Ryan six for 86), second 71 (Ryan. six for 27). Glamorgan won by 165 runs.

Gloucester v. Leicester. —Gloucester, first 335 (Geary five for 57)/second 50 for two. Leicester, first 144 (Sinfield five for 50), ' following on" 239 (Coleman. 114, Goddard seven for 100). Gloucester won. by eight wickets.

Notts v. Northants.—Notts, first 153 (Macaulay four for 41), second 37 for five. Yorkshire, first 451 for eight, declared (Holmes 97, Mitchell 176). Yorkshire won on the first innings. Warwick v. Surrey.—-Warwick, first 243, second 216 for four. Surrey, first 394 (Sandham 104). Surrey won o» the first innings. , .
