CONTINUOUS INQUIRIES

From Saturday morning until midnight last night, when it was generally known that tho Tahiti had gone to her grave and that all the pasengers and crew were safe, the Union Company's office has been inundated with inquiries. The staff has, been working continuously day and night answering telephone calls, including a large number of long-distance calls, and giving out what little information has been available. It was not thought necessary to post bulletins in th© windows, as this was being "one elsewhere, but the office has been kept open continuously so that personal and telephone inquiries could be answered.
