MR. FORBES HONOURED

OLD SCHOOLMATES GATHERING AT LYTTELTON (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OHEISTOHTTECH, 17th August. For a. brief two hours on Saturday evening the Prime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, 'dropped his cares of office to become the guest of his old schoolmates at Lyttelton. Mr. W. T. Foster, Mayor of' Lyttelton, an old schoolmate' of Mr. Forbes, presided. .He said : Mr. Forbes had been considered the champion of the school at games, specially excelling at fly the garter. ■ Mr. Forbes spoke wholly of the old days, old friends, and the changod times since their school days. Mr. W. J. Toomcy, an employee of Mr. Forbes's father, presented Mr. Forbes with a silver cigarette case with the arms of Lyttelton inscribed on it, and Mr. Forbes presented Mr. Toomey with a square they had used in the sail loft of his father's business to square off sails.
