BEELIN, 6th August. An American, Hiram. O. Bu.rba.nk, jun, has just arrived -to enjoy a holiday ■whioh hig father booked 39 yearn* ago. Burbank, senior, bought a ticket from a German shipping compaa? ?gt the trip from New York to Hamburg ia 1891. He was forced to postpone the trip indefinitely, and forgot the ticket until 1911, when he arranged to use it again, but onco more was forced to postpone the pleasure. His third, attempt, in 1914, coincided with, tho outbreak of war.
Eleven, years after the war he died, naid his son found the ticket among his papers. Ho asked the company, which ia again operating, if it was still valid, and they agreed to honour the obligation. -
