LODGE MEETINGS
Wellesley Juvenile Lodge, No. 7, 1.0.0. F., held its bi-monthly meeting last week, Bro. R. Anderson presiding over a' large attendance. A member was reported still on the sick list, "and relative sick paywas passed for payment. One candidate1 was initiated. A further candidate was nominated. The^ library was increased by a donation of a number of books, and the donor was suitably thanked. Bro. A. Crombie, P.G., on behalf of Rose of Wellington - Kebekah - Lodge,- ■ presented members with a set of ping-pong. A vote of thanki was pawed for the donation. Bro. F. J. Jones, P.D.G.M., president, reported that th* Management"Committee had elected the following officers for the ensuing term:—President, Bro. F. J. Jones, P.D.D.G.M.;. vice-president, Sister A. Parry, PjN.G.: secretary, Bro. H. Duties, PJD.D.G.M., P.C.P.; treasurer, Bro.<J. F. Rudkin, P.G,P.C.P.j rec. aecfetary, Sister A. Parry, P.N.G. At the close of the lodge business members were entertained by the pregident. Star of Newtown (Ladies) Branch, Grand United Order of Oddfellows, held its usual .meeting last week, Sister Ryde, N.G., presiding^ and Sister O. Connell, P.N.G-., supervising. Visitors present were Sister Lawler, N.S.W., Bro. Ryde, P.N.G., Bro. Smith, Bro. Chambers, Bro. Piper, P.N.G., Newtown Alpha, ,Bro. M'Quecn, P.N.G., Bro. Norton, P.N.G, Loyal Central, Bro Hoy, Miramar. Two members wer<B reported on the sick list and payment was passed accordingly. One new member was initiated. Harmony concluded a pleasant evening.

Several reports by different delegates were received. Five brothers reported on sick list and pay^ ment -was passed accordingly. Nwton r D.S.1, paid an official visit. Visitors were welcomed with lodge honours. One ■ member was reported on the sick list. Two pew candidates were admitted. It was decided to enter a team for the District Council Eitual Competition. Bro. Ryde, DJJ.M., took over the chair and installed elected officers. • :. ' .
.Newtown Alpha ..Branch, G.U.0.0.F., held its usual meetifig lost week, Bro. J. Hutching N.G-. presiding and Bro. XJoggin, P.N.GL 'supervising. P.N.G.'s present were Bro. Ryde, Bro.^BaWiett, aad Bros Norton. Other "visitors were Sister Ryde,' Sister Norton, Sister Hart, Sister Lawler, Sister Martin, sen., Sister Martin, gun., Sister Piper. Brfa. Ryde reported on the Dinner Committee. Bro. Piper and Bro. Taylor, district' delegates, reported on last district meeting. All -the reports were received. Congratulations Were extended to Bro. Barnett on his entry to tho C.O.M. Bro. Barnett installed elected officers. Harmony concluded an enjoyable evening.
