COMMITTAL FOR SENTENCE

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBOBNE, This Day. Arising out of the action of the Gisborne Law Society in instructing a firm of accountants to make an audit of the accused's books, Robert George Gardener Bain (26), barrister and solicitor, appeared before the Magistrate, Mr. Harper, in the Police Court this morning on one charge of failing to have his trust account audited, and twenty charges of theft by fraud.

All the charges were admitted, and the accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
