BAD WEATHER POSSIBLE

(By Telegraph.)

(Special to "The Evening Post.")

"AUCKLAND, This Day.

Mr. H. M. Vincent, Government weather observer at Auckland, said this morning that, although conditions near New Zealand were favourable there were indications of bad weather further north in the Pacific.

"I' do not think it likely that the Tahiti encountered anything out of the way in regard to weather, 3' declares Captain Boss/who for many years was ongaged in the Pacific Islands trade. "Under normal conditions the winds likely to be in the vicinity of the Tahiti are steady trades. The hurricane season is from January to March. In the ovent of the passengers and crew having to take to the boats, the best plan would be for them to make for Niue Island.''
