RECEIPTS DECLINE HEAVILY
LONDON, 14th Aitgust. The "News Chronicle" says the railways t are facing a serious position. This year's receipts havo fallen off five millions sterling. /
The companies are considering drastic economies, and may seek a reduction of wages. The dismissals number 2500 moro than was expected.
