MINISTERIAL STATEMENT

OTTAWA, 15th August.
The Minister of Immigration, Mr. Gordon, announced on Friday the discontinuance of immigration from the Continent of Europe with the exception of experienced farmers of a suitable type, possessing ample means immediately to establish and maintain themselves, and the wives and children of persons already established in Canada.
