A correspondent of the London "Sunday Express" writes to tliat journal to say that she recently hearo a discussion on the subject of "oar-piercing" for the benefit of the eyes, and inquiring.if the ancient practice was of any service. t after she had1 begun to wear glasses, but after a few weeks was able .to discard them, and states she can sec now as well as evershe could. "If these statements am correct," declares the correspondent, "and I see no roason -to doubt them, it appears that the. wearing of earrings would be a simple' way of curing the defects of the eyes due to old ago and other causes) and might with advantage be adopted! by-both-sexes.'"
