FINANCING WHEAT POOL
SYDNEY, loth August,
The- State Minister for .Agriculture, Mr. H./V. C. Thorby, told farmer settlers at a conference .that the State Government was unable to make financial arrangements for a wheat guarantee, but the Commonwealth Bank had agreed to finance a wheat pool to the extent of -SO per cent, of the estimated value of the wheat at the opening of the forthcoming marketing season, on condition that the wheat is marketed in an orderly '.nauner.
