On a charge of-being an idle and disoderly person with insufficient lawful means of support, Michael Keating, labourer, aged 54, was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment* Sob-Inspector Lopdell said the accused was addicted to drinking methylated spirits. .
Robert Thomas Roberts, veterinary surgeon, aged 51,. was; sentenced to three months' imprisonment on a .charge of obtaining £2 from Frederick William Nightingale by means of a false pretence.
Detective-Sergeant Holmes said that the accused was at present serving a sentence of six months' imprisonment for false pretences, and the three months' sentence is to be served at the expiration of his present sentence.
John Edward Harrington was fined 30s for selling goods on a Sunday. ;
On a charge of keeping a dangerous dog, Eobert Hutchinsou was convicted and ordered to pay costs. ,
