- NELSON, 14th August. The annual North v. South Island hockey match will be played at Nelson to-morrow. The teams are:—
NORTH ISLAND. (Colours:1 Red and Black.)
Goal: N. Hughes (Wanganui). Backs: T. Ewau (Waikato), P. Spiers (Wellington). Halves: B. Massey (Wairarapa), A. Mahoney (captain), and P. Joblin (Wellington). Forwards: B. Spiers (Waikato), G. Packer (Feildiug),. A. Robb (Wellington), N. Robinson (Dannevirko), S. Bctts (TaraRes'orves: T. Clarke (Auckland), W. Cannin (Wairarapa).
SOUTH ISLAND. (Colours: White.)
Goal: H. Snook (Canterbury). Backs: E, Dash (Canterbury), C. Gibbs, captain (Nelson). Halves: V. Wells and B. Rogers (Canterbury), C.Jones (Buller). Forwards: M. Bay (Otago), F. Fullwood (Canterbury), H. Whitwell (Nelson), G. Burke (Canterbury), C. Maystone (Nelson). ' Reserves: V. Underhill and R. D. Irwin (Marlborougb), R. Best and O'Callaghan (Nelson); : . . ' ■ Mr. A.
